when should you prune your apple trees?

Ideally this is done in the beginning of March, but it’s appropriate to do it until April. What’s important is to do it after the February cold weather is over but before blossoming happens. It’s also the time we trim most trees, except for birch, sugar maple, and walnut trees.

Prunning a fruit tree when it’s young is essential to its future. By giving it shape, you give your tree a good structure, balance, and looks, while also making it easier to collect fruit when the time comes.
